Lane Quilts began in September of 1990 in the home of Jim and
Marie Seroskie. The business was named after the street we lived
on in Orlando, Florida. KLQ is still a home based business now
in Amherst, NH. We offer a number of unique patterns and products
which we hope you find rewarding and easy to use.
My original pattern designs have been
a joint effort with Jim who is my photographer, editor, advertising
manager and anything else I come up with. Quilters find our
directions clearly written. Many quilt shop teachers use some
of them for beginner classes. The patterns lend themselves
to a free flowing and easy to assemble designs. Each stained
glass pattern can also be done as an applique piece without
the bias strips…what I call a "two fer" pattern.
Although we specialize in stained glass, there are some non stained
glass patterns available.
We have developed some rather unique
products over the past few years to take care of some quilt
and sewing related problems. Two sets of very unique Radial Rules
have also been developed. The Korner Radial Rule, mini and
large, will take care of rounding the corners of any project
from pot holders to large quilts. All four corners will be
the same. Our Scallop Radial Rule, mini and large, allows you to scallop projects like quilts, place mats, valences,
vests, pillow cases and anything else you’d
like to scallop.
Marie has had the opportunity to appear with
Alex Anderson on Simply
Quilts and with Sue Hausmann on the PBS program, America
Sews. All products are manufactured here in the United
States.
