Our Victorian Style patterns are the simplest of the stained
glass techniques. It was developed out of necessity in 2003 while
executing a commission for the International
Quilt Association. This was A Tribute to Louis
Comfort Tiffany – the 2004 IQA Raffle Quilt (67" x 100").
Our
Victorian Style technique was developed and perfected during the
creation of this large quilt.
Victorian Style enables you to work quickly,
work with smaller pieces than the traditional bias tape approach
would permit, and closely approximates the look of a leaded
Tiffany design without reverse appliqué. This
technique produces an irregular leading effect more closely representing
the black leading found in real glass work.
Each pattern includes a double sided bonus
color insert of the step-by-step process. Directions and
photos lead you through pattern placement, piecing using either
fusible web construction or freezer paper methods, and final
assembly. Each pattern element is numbered to keep you organized.
