Commercial catalogs are showing scalloped
bed quilts, sheets, pillows and pillow cases. These were
not pieces that quilters or sewers would have attempted
before our Scallop Radial Rule. |
Our
Scallop Radial Rules enable you to scallop projects like quilts,
place mats, valences, vests, pillow cases and anything else
you’d like to scallop. Not a math person?
We’ve taken care of that too with our Scallop Handbook.
The handbook also provides a few projects to get you started.
Our Scallop Radial Rules make
scalloping projects easy to do (really)
and you don’t need a math degree! You can scallop bed quilts,
sheets, pillows, pillow cases, vests, gowns, window treatments,
placemats, napkins, towels, wall hangings and more.
We introduced them to the quilting world in
1998 and have been promoting and selling them continuously ever
since. They have been seen on the PBS programs America
Sews with Sue Hausmann and Quilting
with Shar with
Shar Jorgenson. Our rules
were also featured in the book Notions:
Over 50 Great Gadgets You Can't Live Without by
Taunton Press (2000).
Our rules are for marking – not
cutting. Because scallops are always on a bias,
they are marked and sewn before final trimming.
The only way to avoid 'puckers and stretches' is to sew
before you trim.
